Paul’s Dream

Paul’s Dream is a piece I created for the 20:21 International Art Fair at the RCA in 2012. I also exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair represented by Liberty Gallery.

This piece is a dreamscape drawn in pencil which I created to depict an imaginary world in which my late father might live. I approached the creation of this piece in a very free way, by simply sitting down with a A1 piece of paper and doodling, drawing the various elements of ideas I associated with him. The key character represents my father who told me that as a child his main ambition in life was to be a pirate. I like to imagine that this dream has now been realised.
